A Casa de Campo wedding works differently from most destination weddings in the Caribbean. The venue you choose, where your guests stay, how your room block is structured, whether you use hotel rooms or villas, transportation, vendors, and even how guests book their accommodations are all connected. Understanding those relationships before you choose a package, venue, or villa can determine what is possible and how the entire wedding weekend comes together.
Spread across approximately 7,000 acres in La Romana, Casa de Campo is a destination unto itself, with hotel accommodations, privately owned villas, Altos de Chavón, Minitas Beach, the marina, golf courses, restaurants, and wedding venues located throughout the property. That scale is one of the reasons a wedding here can feel so different from a traditional destination wedding, but it also means there is more to understand before you begin making decisions.
I am an independent destination wedding planner certified by Casa de Campo, and I created this guide to explain how a Casa de Campo wedding actually works, including the rules, options, and planning implications couples often do not discover until they are already in the process.
Why Does a Casa de Campo Wedding Work Differently From a Typical Resort Wedding?
Casa de Campo is not organized around one hotel building or one central wedding area. Your guests may stay in hotel rooms or villas, move through the property by golf cart, and attend events in completely different settings such as Minitas Beach, the Marina, or Altos de Chavón.
Because of that, accommodations, venues, transportation, room blocks, and wedding rules are closely connected. Understanding how those pieces work together is one of the most important parts of planning a wedding here.
Casa de Campo Wedding Cost and Packages
Casa de Campo offers two multi-day destination wedding packages, a collection of one-day packages, and the option to plan a custom à la carte celebration. The multi-day packages include 58 guests, with additional guests added at a per-person rate. The one-day packages include up to 26 guests, also expandable.
Ultimate Promise starts at $32,500 and includes a three-hour Welcome Beach Party, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, cocktail hour, and four-hour private reception, along with food and beverage, entertainment, décor, and other wedding-day inclusions. Each qualifying adult guest staying a minimum of three nights in an all-inclusive room or villa generates a $150 credit toward the wedding package.
Ultimate Bliss starts at $28,500. The structure mirrors Ultimate Promise with one key difference: the three-hour Welcome Beach Party is replaced by a two-hour Welcome Cocktail Party. Each qualifying adult guest generates a $125 credit under the same three-night all-inclusive requirement.
Both packages include 28% Dominican taxes and hotel service charges.
The Simply one-day packages begin at $9,500. The Simply Believe elopement package starts at $1,200 for the couple and four adult guests, with a maximum of 18 guests total.
Package pricing is the starting structure. The final cost of a Casa de Campo wedding is shaped by guest count, venue selection, design and production decisions, additional events, vendor choices, transportation, and the credits generated through qualifying guest accommodations.
Where Do Wedding Guests Stay at Casa de Campo
Casa de Campo has two primary accommodation options for wedding groups: hotel rooms and privately owned villas. Understanding how each works matters before guests begin booking because accommodations are directly connected to the wedding room block, applicable wedding credits, and Casa de Campo’s requirements for hosting events on property.
Hotel rooms range from Superior Casitas and Elite accommodations to Premier Club rooms and suites. For wedding guests, the important distinction is not simply staying at Casa de Campo. Their reservation needs to be made within the contracted wedding group structure.
Villas throughout Casa de Campo are privately owned. They can be part of a wedding group when the rental is arranged through Casa de Campo, but a villa rented independently through an owner, Airbnb, VRBO, or another third party does not satisfy Casa de Campo’s wedding accommodation requirements, even if the villa is physically located inside the estate.
There is one exception couples sometimes ask about. If a family member owns a villa at Casa de Campo, the resort may work with that situation, but it is a lengthy process with specific requirements, and the villa owner typically needs to be present as a registered guest. Casa de Campo has been doing this long enough to know when a family villa claim is genuine and when it is not. Couples who have tried to use this as a workaround have learned that quickly.
Casa de Campo requires the wedding group to stay within the contracted accommodation structure. Reservations made outside of it can result in financial penalties for the couple.
